Amroha Greens, Amrohа
Spread over 8 Acres, Amroha Greens is the first planned row housing of the city. It consists of 107 Villas of Various sizes. Independent floors have also been planned keeping in mind the budget constraints of some of the users. With amenities like all underground external electrification, underground storn water rainwater harvesting pits etc, Amroha Greens has been planned at par with current best practices prevalent in the country.

The Project has been awarded commendation Prize by HUDCO for HUDCO DESIGN AWARDS 2012-13 Category URBAN HOUSING.

The aim of the design is to provide good habitable spaces with ample open zones all around while fulfilling the economic needs of the promoters Green zones have been so placed as to give maximum spread w.r.t. to built forms within the site. Instead of providing a consolidated central green, the greens have been deliberately divided into pockets giving park facing frontage to a large number of plotted residences. This increases the utility of these parks even more and spreads open spaces though-out the site.

To break monotony and create interest, various shapes and sizes of the pediments were worked out, ranging from large sloping surfaces ncompassing entire width of plots to small porticos highlightING the entry of the houses. Furthermore a combination of these primary design elements are used to give unique character to all streets, avoiding the look and feel of rubber stamp design across the entire campus.

As the promoters planned to call the built up structure as Villa or Eco-Villa, it was decided that the structures would be so designed that they achieved the look agreeing with the proposed nomenclature. The "PEDIMENT" was therefore deliberately chosen as the prime design element as it best represents a quintessential villa.

“We could have packed more homes onto this land. We chose not to. Because wellness doesn't come from density. It comes from room to breathe.”
