Mittal Farms, Manesar
Located near Manesar, this 2-acre site was always meant to be more than just land. It was the canvas for a dream—a farm house that would serve not as a primary residence, but as a second home with the soul of a holiday retreat. The brief was simple in its longing: create a place surrounded by greenery, where the family could escape the hustle and bustle of city living and simply feel connected to nature. Not a showcase. Not a statement. Just a place to be.

The site responded generously. It sloped gently in one direction, and the first decision was to listen to that slope. The building was placed carefully—not to hamper the natural movement of rainwater, but to work with it. Water would flow as it always had. The architecture would simply step aside.

The design idea followed a quiet philosophy: every room deserves a view. Not one "special" room with the best outlook, but all rooms opening out to different visual experiences of the site. From the bedroom, a meadow. From the living room, the lily pond. From the study, the distant trees. No hierarchy. Just equal access to nature.

The natural contours of the land inspired a stepped design—the building settling into the slope as if it had always been there.

Outside, the open areas were divided into five primary zones, each with its own character and purpose:

• Meandering Main Driveway Entry — A slow, winding approach that asks you to leave the city behind, one curve at a time.
• Large Open Lower Lawn — For gatherings, for parties, for laughter under an open sky.
• Central Green Space — Anchored by a Lily Pond and a gentle green crescent mound, this is the quiet heart of the farm.
• Upper Lawn — An open sports zone by day, and in the southeast corner, space for organic farming—food grown where it will be eaten.
• Swimming Pool, Kids' Play, and Barbeque Zone — For the moments that need water, fire, and the sound of children.

“The site sloped. We followed. The rain knew its path. We stepped aside. The result? A farmhouse where no room claims to be special—because every room already is.”
